We provide research and evidence-based practices to meet the specific needs of each patient. We strive to create an environment that promotes our patients to be pro-active in their own health and well-being, thus reducing the need for prolonged care. At Middletown Chiropractic Center we determine the cause of your symptoms and relieve your pain with gentle, personalized and effective therapies. Our Doctors
Jason Kolenda, DC

Dr. Kolenda is the primary treating doctor and owner of Middletown Chiropractic center. Dr. Kolenda attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. He then received his doctorate in 2008 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. While at Palmer, Dr. Kolenda developed extensive knowledge on various forms of treatment such as Diversified Technique, Flexion-Distraction Technique, Thompson Technique, Gonstead Technique, SOT Technique and Activator protocol. He is also proficient in kinesiology taping and fascial distortion model technique. Dr. Kolenda is a Rhode Island Board Certified Chiropractic Physician.

For over ten years, Dr. Kolenda has dedicated his life to becoming a Chiropractor and continues his mission to provide quality health care for those in need. Favoring the holistic approach, Dr. Kolenda strives to alleviate pain while educating his patients on becoming active participants of their own well-being, treating the entire person, not just their symptoms. Through this structured approach, Dr. Kolenda is able to help his patients achieve optimal levels of overall health and personal wellness.

A native of Iron River, Michigan, Dr. Kolenda is happy to call Rhode Island home. When not in the office, Dr. Kolenda can be found spending time with his beautiful wife and 3 children.

Melissa Kolenda , DC

Dr. Melissa Kolenda is the clinic director of Middletown Chiropractic Center. Born and raised in New England, she attended Western New England University in Springfield , Massachusetts, where she graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Biology. Dr. Kolenda then received her doctorate in 2007 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.

 

While at Palmer, Dr. Kolenda studied many forms of treatment including Diversified Technique,  Flexion-Distraction Technique, Thompson Technique, Gonstead Technique, SOT technique, and Activator protocol. In her last three quarters of clinical training, Dr. Kolenda was also honored with the duty of being a technique teaching assistant. As an assistant, she was able to attain hands-on experience, while developing a deeper understanding for her role as a Chiropractor. Dr. Kolenda also traveled to Morocco for clinic abroad, where she able to bring her knowledge and services to under privileged communities.

Dr. Kolenda has known since she was a teenager that she wanted to be a chiropractor and has dedicated her time to doing so. She has also devoted her life to being a wife and mother. She has been home with her children for the past few years and is looking forward to getting back in the office.
